Do you love burgers?

Then you will love the range of award-winning burgers at Burgers and Barrels on Lower Bristol Road Bath.

Burgers and Barrels is a burger bar serving handcrafted mouthwatering burgers, incredible loaded fries, salad, beers, wine and cocktails.

They are open every day, so there's no excuse not to pop in and give them a try. 

The owner has never had any professional images taken of their menu items until now and has used phone photography to advertise their burgers.

Our brief was to photograph the 13 burgers on their menu along with some of their sides and cocktails. The images needed to be dark and moody in style in keeping with the general vibe of the bar. (their new website is coming soon!)

Along with eat-in over two levels and a small outdoor area, they also offer takeaway and delivery using apps like Uber Eats and Deliveroo, so the new images were key to showcasing their mouthwatering burgers to up their game for the business listings.

We supplied the images in square and portrait format to be used across all social platforms, website and takeaway apps.

I know you're all probably wondering if I got to try any of the burgers. Absolutely yes! and I must say, it was a damn fine burger! #perksofthejob

I was asked by Bath Life Magazine to visit some of the wonderful independents of Walcot street to capture some editorial shots for their early October Issue.

We visited:

Gavin - General Manager at DoubleTree by Hilton located in the heart of Bath with everything you could need on its doorstep.

Darrin - Owner of Coopers a family-fun electrical store that prides itself on their high level of customer service.

Ellie - Store leader at Neptune who are a British-born and raised interiors and lifestyle brand that designs and makes furniture, lighting and accessories for your whole home.

Ian - Owner of Framing Workshop who have been helping to present and preserve pictures and precious keep-sakes for nearly 30 years.

Julia - Joint owner of Capitol Carpets who offers expert advice on carpets, natural flooring, vinyl & wood

& Broadleaf Timber leading real wood specialists.

The Royal Wessex Yeomanry -  Valentines Ball - Feb 9th 2022

The Royal Wessex Yeomanry is the Nation’s Armoured Reserve Regiment. It operates the Challenger 2 Main Battle Tank in support of the Armoured Regiments of the Army’s Reaction Force.

This year their Valentine's ball was held at the Roman Baths with a sit-down meal in the pump rooms.

Commercial Manufacturing Product & Lifestyle Photography

A UK-based manufacturing company required product, lifestyle and environmental portrait photography at their offices and factory.

We photographed staff members and products on location inside the company's offices, as well as in the factory.

The digital images were used for product advertising, PR and on a corporate website.

Prospect Hospice provides a broad range of services to thousands of patients, carers and family members every year. Their team of nurses, doctors and therapists support patients at the hospice in Wiltshire, in their own homes and in care homes. Carers and family members can also access a range of free support services.

The Brief

The Hospice needed a refresh of its library of imagery as many of the images were taken over two/three years ago and depicted staff that are no longer with the organisation or images have now been used so often that there need to start representing the hospice with new imagery.

The client required a mix of required a mixture of lifestyle staff portraits and headshots images showing the everyday duties of the role along with props and equipment used.

The images taken during this shoot will be primarily be used for two reasons:

1. To aid recruitment of future staff
2. To show their range of service’s

The British Hemp Company is the brainchild of MD Steve Glover.

An accidental farmer, he quickly learned how to grow salad and herbs, and the business grew. He applied for an industrial hemp license and Steve used his knowledge of all things hemp to set up a consultancy, working with UK hemp farmers.

This experience helped create a vision that led to the formation of The British Hemp Company.

Hemp is a nutritional powerhouse. High in Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, as well as fibre and protein, hemp is versatile, nutritious and delicious.

Their farms cover a total of 250 acres across twelve locations throughout the UK.

This is our second project with The British Hemp Company, we previously shot new product images for their website in their factory and in our home studio - You can view those images here

This time we were asked back to photograph their range of hemp products in their hemp fields along with capturing some shots of Steve with the products along with some drone footage.

We were contacted by the team at FiSearch: Finance Recruitment to photograph images for their new website.

Their headquarters are found in Bristol but they also have offices around the world, so it was key to look at their existing photography and match to a similar style.

The brief:

• Head shot of founder Joe
• Head shot of founder Ben
• Group photo of all three founders
• Head shot of employee Scott
• 2-4 office scenery images

Taking our mobile lighting setup we were able to achieve these images.
